Floods, Hurricanes, and Other Warning Signs

All the tornadoes, droughts, floods, and hurricanes of 2011 have caused one writer to ask, “What the heck is going on?” Of course, there is only one credible source allowed to address such questions—science. It has the answers. Or at least the best theories.

For Christians, these “natural” disasters combined with all of the global wars and rumors of wars should draw our attention to a super-natural answer. Jesus told us to expect these things. And He told us why. They are neither random nor caused by global warming. They are His warning signals to a sinful world, sounding the alarm, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

The sermon below expounds Jesus’ hard sayings of Luke 21 (cp. Matthew 24 and Mark 13).
